Frequently Asked Questions
What if you block a real customer?
Our API returns a "review" decision for borderline cases, which you can handle gracefully (e.g. asking for a work email). Additionally, you can add any domain to your Custom Allowlist on the dashboard, bypassing all checks instantly.
Will this slow down my signup form?
No. When you pass mode=fast, we skip the active SMTP ping and rely entirely on our massive in-memory database of 74,781+ burner domains, typo rules, and syntax checks, keeping processing fast.
What if your API goes down?
Our Python SDK automatically falls back to local offline evaluation if our API is unreachable. For Node.js and HTTP integrations, we recommend a fail-open try/catch wrapper so an API timeout will never block a legitimate user signup.
Do you store my users' emails?
No. Emails are processed in-memory and discarded. We only store aggregate metrics (like "blocked 1 disposable email") for your dashboard analytics. We are fully GDPR compliant and never sell or share data.
How do monthly limits and overages work?
If you exceed your plan's monthly check limit, we charge a flat rate of $0.005/check for overages so your service never hard-stops. Control your costs: set hard limits or enable auto-overages from your dashboard settings.
